Show and Share Video Demonstration

Think about something that you do at your placement that you would like to teach to the co-op class. This task could be a process or a task. If you are having trouble thinking of something, consult with your employer to see if they have some ideas.
 


Here are the steps you should follow for this assignment:

 

  • Speak to your employer to make sure that video can be taken at your placement

  • Choose a date with your supervisor for the video

  • Book time and pick up an iPad from Co Op portables to use to film your project

  • Prepare for the video (get all of the tools ready, etc.)

  • Read over the rubric to make sure you understand what you are expected to talk about

  • Have a co-worker, supervisor, or co-op teacher assist you while you record your assignment

  • Edit shots using iMovie; here is a link to help you:

  • Upload it to your account and submit it to the Google Classroom assignment

  • Return the iPad

  • This will be used in your Culminating Assignment in yur slideshow

How to save and Upload your iMovie project:

​

  • Press the “Back” arrow in the top left corner of the iMovie editor screen

  • Press the upload button that looks like a Square with an arrow pointing out the top of it

  • Press “Save Video”

  • Select “Large size 540P” and allow the status bar to finish

  • Now press the upload button again and Select YouTube from the menu

  • Sign into YouTube using your Google Ed account login

  • On the “Share project” screen give your film a title and select a size of 720P

  • Choose “Unlisted” or “Public”, make sure the Account shown at the bottom of the list is your Google AMDSB account

  • Press “Share”....A progress bar will appear. Allow it to finish.

  • Once this is finished you will be able to access your movie on any computer by logging into your YouTube account or link it to Google Slides when completing your Culminating assignment

How to Submit to Google Classroom:
 

  • Open the Safari web browser and sign into Google Classroom

  • Select the Show and share assignment

  • Press “ADD” button, “upload file”, “Select files from your computer” and choose your video from the camera roll

  • Press “Upload”

  • When the status bar finishes press “submit”

Using a Cell Phone:

​

  • Video from your cellular phone can be shared to Google photos and then moved to your co-op shared folder

  • Once the video is in your folder, insert the video into your slideshow by selecting 'Insert' then 'video' then 'Google Drive' then find your video in your co-op shared folder
